<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide mold powder for continuously casting a high Al-containing steel which is adjusted so as to possible to restrain the precipitation of high melting point crystal in the powder composition, and a method for continuously casting the high Al-containing steel using this mold powder. <P>SOLUTION: In the mold powder used for continuously casting the high aluminum-containing steel containing≥0.80 mass% Al, the mold powder is contained by mass% of≤15% SiO<SB>2</SB>, 20-50% Al<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>, 20-50% CaO, 5-15% Li<SB>2</SB>O, 5-20% F, 5-15% total C and the balance as the inevitable impurities, one or three kinds of Na<SB>2</SB>O, Fe<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>, and this physical properties have≥1.5 basicity (CaO/SiO<SB>2</SB>), 950-1,150°C solidification temperature and 0.2-0.5 Pa s viscosity at 1,300°C. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
