PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position instruction creation method capable of creating a position instruction by simple computing for a position controller to which a position differential instruction is given by an instruction period N times longer than a control period. SOLUTION: A quotient S and a remainder A are found by dividing the position differential instruction by N, and a new remainder output computing variant H is found by adding the remainder to a remainder output computing variant. If the remainder A is positive. the quotient S is used as the position differential instruction when the remainder output computing variant H is not larger than zero, while a value found by subtracting the value N from the variant H is used as a new remainder computing variant and a value found by adding one to the quotient S is used as the position differential instruction when the remainder output computing variant H is larger than zero. If the remainder A is negative. the quotient S is used as the position differential instruction when the variant H is larger than zero, while a value found by adding the value N to the variant H is used as a new remainder computing variant and a value found by subtracting one from the quotient S is used as the position differential instruction when the remainder output computing variant H is not larger than zero.
