PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing aldehydes capable of suppressing steam consumption in separating them into a straight-chain aldehyde and a branched aldehyde. SOLUTION: The method comprises the following process: An olefinically unsaturated compound is made to flow at a rate of 1 t/h or higher into a reactor, where a hydroformylation reaction is carried out to obtain an aldehyde-containing reaction liquid, which is then refined in a distillation column. In this process, the alcohol concentration of the aldehyde-containing reaction liquid to be fed into the distillation column is set at 200 ppm or lower. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
