PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a header pipe having good stability on a working table in the application of a brazing filler metal solution to enable the uniform application of the brazing filler metal solution, and holding strength enough to withstand pressing pressure in the drilling work of a slot without causing deformation. SOLUTION: In the header pipe used in a heat exchanger comprising a pair of header pipes, a plurality of tubes erected between the header pipes, and fins attached between the tubes, a surface for erecting the tubes forms a circular surface swollen in the direction of the tubes, and the reverse side opposed to the circular surface has a flat part.
