PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure a communication path for remote management even when a trouble occurs in a facsimile machine in the remote management system of an image forming device. SOLUTION: Communication equipment is provided with: a call signal detecting means for detecting a call signal from a remote management device to the facsimile machine from a communication line; an identification signal detecting means for detecting an identification signal from the remote management device to the facsimile machine from the communication line; a closed state detecting detecting means for detecting the closed state of a communication line between the remote management device and the facsimile machine; and a connected state switching means for switching the connected state of the communication line of the facsimile machine. The communication equipment is provided with a communication control means for disconnecting the facsimile machine from the communication line when the call signal and the identification signal are detected and the remote management device and the facsimile machine are closed by the communication line and for closing the machine with the communication line in response to the call signal when the remote management device and the facsimile machine are not closed.
