A block copolymer comprising a polymer block ÄAÜ and a polymer block ÄBÜ. The polymer block ÄAÜ contains mainly a repeating unit having an alicyclic structure, and the polymer block ÄBÜ contains the repeating unit having an alicyclic structure and a repeating unit derived from a diene based monomer and/or a vinyl based monomer. In any block, the carbon-carbon unsaturated bonds are hydrogenated. The block copolymer is molded into optical disks, optical waveguides, films, sheets, containers, and optical lenses.
