PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the axial movement of an operation member even if the operation member is circumferentially turned by a simple mechanism and a rational means, and to simplify the operation of extracting the operation member. SOLUTION: A thumb-turn of a lock is equipped with a tubular thumb-turn seat which is fixedly provided on a wall surface of a door or in a lock case, and the operation member which is extractably inserted into the thumb-turn seat. In the thumb-turn of the lock, an urging spring and a movable engagement piece, which is constantly urged in a radially inward direction by a spring force of the urging spring, are built into the thumb-turn seat so that only a knob part of the operation member can be extracted by being grasped, and a circumferential groove, with which the movable engagement piece comes into pressure contact, is formed in a fit-in part of the operation member.
