PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an axial core member which is smoothly moved at an axial core part, is easily deformed and has a reduced assembling cost, durability in repetitive bending and shape maintaining property, and to provide a toy with a mobile part to be realistically moved. SOLUTION: The core material is composed of a bar-shaped object which is obtained by drawing or rolling a thermoplastic resin-made molding, has a back bending angle from 90°of not more than 30°and bending strength of 10-300 N. The core material is deformed by hand, maintains the deformed shape, and is provided with durability in repetitive bending. The core material is suitable for the toy or a doll as its core material.
