<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multidirectional input device that can suppress undesired movement of a first slider and a second slider caused by turning force given to an operation body. <P>SOLUTION: This multidirectional input device is provided with the operation body 6 having an operating force giving part 8 exposing from an opening 4 of a cover member 1 forming a housing and an engagement part 10 and held in a multidirectionally and slidably operating manner, the first slider 12 having a long hole 15 to be engaged with the engagement part 10 to slidably move in an X direction, the second slider 13 having a long hole 17 to be engaged with the engagement 10 to slidably move in a Y direction perpendicular to the X direction, a first detection means for detecting the sliding movement of the first slider 12 in the X direction, and a second detection means for detecting the sliding movement of the second slider 13 in the Y direction, wherein the engagement part 10 is formed so as to make a cross section circular, for example, cylindrical. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
