PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weather information notification system in which a portable terminal can be notified that weather prediction was not correct when the weather determined from weather forecast does not match the actual weather. SOLUTION: A management server 3 acquires weather information of an area where base stations 1a and 1b are installed from at least one of the base stations 1a and 1b through a network 100 and notifies it to a portable terminal 2 through wireless communication. In such a weather information notification system, weather prediction determined from the weather forecast information of a predetermined objective area acquired externally based on the notification conditions of a user is compared with the content of actual weather indicated by the weather information of an objective area acquired from the base station 1a and if the weather prediction does not match the content of actual weather, the portable terminal is notified of this effect.
