PAPER MAKING METHOD USING MODIFIED LAYER SILICATE IN FINE PARTICULATE FORM

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a layer silicate usable as fine particulate for paper-making use and effective for improving the prior arts in the case of using for improving the freeness at a relatively low pH range and improving the yield. SOLUTION: A layer silicate modified with a substituted hydroxyalkylsilane is used for paper-making use. The layer silicate has a sulfonic acid group and/or mercapto group and contains 0.02-1,000 mmol (mmol/100g) of sulfur based on 100 g of the SiO2of the layer silicate. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
