PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of a message transmission being stopped when a message size exceeds a memory capacity, by storing an MMS message (or electronic mail message) to be transmitted in a file format, and to provide a message transmitting apparatus and method in a mobile communication terminal in which memory resources of the mobile communication terminal can be more efficiently used since another memory region is not allocated to the message to be transmitted. SOLUTION: The message transmitting apparatus in the mobile communication terminal comprises: a message generating unit for generating a message in response to an instruction from a subscriber; a controller for storing the generated message, into a file, in a predetermined type of format; and a transmitter for transmitting the message stored in the file to a receiving side.
