PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system, a method, etc., for communication path switching that can shorten processing delay accompanying communication path switching and lighten a processing load on a mobile station. SOLUTION: The communication path switching system comprises a wireless base station which has a wireless communication function for a mobile station and a function of relaying data from the mobile station on a wireless communication path and a plurality of transmission devices which each have a wired communication function for the wireless base station and transmit and relay the data transmitted from the mobile station to other mobile stations. One wired communication path from the wireless base station to one transmission device can be switched from another wired communication path from the wireless base station to another transmission device without re-setting the wireless communication path between the mobile station and wireless base station.
