PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcast receiver for automatically switching channel lists without increasing the scale and the power consumption of the receiver. SOLUTION: A reception channel list storage section 106 stores a plurality of the channel lists respectively corresponding to a plurality of different broadcast areas, a switching channel selection control section 121 uses a first channel list set as a current list from a plurality of the channel lists to select a station, switches the currently set channel list to the other second channel list when the channel selection is failed, and selects a station through the channel in the second channel list.
