PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a door guard of simple structure having a ventilating function. SOLUTION: The door guard has a first base body 3 fixed to the indoor side of a door frame 1 or a door 2; a receiving rod 4 provided at the first base body 3 and having a swelling head 4a at the tip; a second base body 5 fixed to the indoor side of the door 2 or door frame 1; and a connecting rod 6 with its base end swingingly pivoted on the second base body 5. In the connecting rod 6, an insertion part 6a allowing the insertion of the swelling head of the receiving rod, and an elongate guide hole 6b slidably fitted to the receiving rod 4, are further provided continuously in a length direction. At least one second engaging part 6d is protrusively provided on the free end part back face side of the connecting rod, while a first engaging part 3a that can be engaged with the second engaging part 6d when the door guard is operated, is formed near the base part of the receiving rod 4.
