PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceiling lighting unit capable of lighting a joint part and having various illumination patterns. SOLUTION: This ceiling lighting unit has grids G having a plurality of light sources and the joint parts H formed between the adjoining grids G. At least lower surfaces of the grids G and the joint parts H are covered with light transmission members. Light shielding plates are provided between the grids G and the joint parts. The light source 4 are arranged in the grids G and the joint parts M, respectively, so that each grid G or each joint part M can be independently lit by lighting the light sources 4.
