PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording disk drive device comprising a shroud wall which can efficiently reduce flutters of recording disks. SOLUTION: The housing 17 of the magnetic disk drive device is provided with the shroud wall 19 which surrounds magnetic disks 12 so as to face the end faces of the magnetic disks 12 with a space s of 0.5 mm or less.
