PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technology effective for improving the durability of a brush assembly in a power tool including a motor. SOLUTION: This power tool 100 includes a motor 121 having a brush assembly 140, and a brush holder base 141 on which the brush assembly is mounted. A tip tool 109 is driven through a power transmission mechanism 111 by the exciting drive of the motor. The brush assembly 140 has a brush 145, a brush holder 143 storing the brush 145, and a brush cap 181 superposed on the outer surface of the brush holder.
