PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing roller capable of realizing the improvement of durability by preventing adhesive peeling between an electromagnetic induction heating layer and a sponge layer and the deformation of the electromagnetic induction heating layer. SOLUTION: The fixing roller 1 includes a supporting layer 11, the sponge layer 12, the electromagnetic induction heating layer, an elastic layer and a releasing layer arranged in order from the inside to the outside. An adhesive 16 is provided between the sponge layer 12 and the electromagnetic induction heating layer. Then, an adhesive area Z1 where the adhesive 16 exists and a non-adhesive area Z0 where the adhesive 16 does not exist are arranged alternately in a shaft direction and also both of them exist at least by four. Then, the difference of deformation amount between the sponge layer 12 and the electromagnetic induction heating layer is absorbed in the non-adhesive area Z0. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
