PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve conformability of a slide bearing applied with a Bi-based overlay wherein harness related to conformability is several times more than Pb. SOLUTION: In the slide bearing attached with the Bi-based overlay to a slide face side of a lining comprising a copper based bearing alloy, the Bi-based overlay 3 with Ag<SB>2</SB>S deposited on at least a surface side is more superior than a Pb-based overlay. The overlay contains 0.1-10 wt.% Ag. Ag concentration is substantially uniform in a thickness direction in the overlay.
