<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a press plate sorter 21 which sorts press plates to a transfer machines 25 and 26 in different floors 14 and 15. <P>SOLUTION: The press plates conveyed by a plate making line 12 are received by a floor sorting machine 24. When the press plates are conveyed into a press plate storage section 22 of the floor 14 of the plate making line 12, the press plates are conveyed into the transfer machine 25 in the floor 14 of the plate making line 12 by passing through the press plates received by the floor sorting machine 24 in a feeding direction. When the press plates are conveyed to the press plate storage section 23 in the different floor 15, the press plates are conveyed to the transfer machine 26 in the upper floor 15 so that the press plates received by the floor sorting machine 24 are conveyed to the upper floor 15 by ascending the press plates.
