PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operating device for a three-position switch that enables the reliable switching operation of an "on-position to an off-position or an off-position to a grounding position" while restricting the operation on one of operation shafts which is desired to be prohibited from being operated. SOLUTION: A first operation shaft, a second operation shaft, a first locking portion and a second locking portion are interlocked with one another using gears, a rotating shaft having an engaging portion and a motor is connected selectively to the first operation shaft or the second operation shaft for the purpose of "ON-position-off-position operation only" or "off-position-grounding position operation only", and the rotation of the rotating shaft having the motor is limited based on the presence and absence of engagement of the first or second locking portion with the rotating shaft. A three-position switch capable of performing the operations of the "on-position-off-position" and the "off-position-grounding position" with reliability is thus obtained.
