PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hollow article manufacturing apparatus which can manufacture a hollow article having a hollow space having an inner diameter smaller than the diameter of a core pin, and to provide a hollow article manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The apparatus is equipped with, a fixed mold 2, a movable mold 3 capable of being moved near to and away from the fixed mold 2, and a material feeding section formed between the fixed mold 2 and the movable mold 3 when the two molds are brought near to each other for feeding a material having fluidity into a cavity C. A pin 4 having an axis in parallel with the moving direction of the movable mold 3 is arranged inside the cavity C, the material feeding section is formed in the movable mold 3 and has a material passage 5 having one end thereof functioning as a charging port for charging the material into the cavity C, and the material passage is provided coaxially with the axis of the pin 4.
