PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform the upward storage and downward delivery of paper money in parallel, and to stabilize a storage state even when curled paper money is included in stored paper money. SOLUTION: This storage device is provided with a frame body for storing paper money S1 in an accumulation state at the lower part and a delivery means for delivering the storage paper money S1 in the order from the one located at the lowest position. A vertically extended orbit rack R1 energized downward is mounted so as to be slidable to a vertical direction to the frame body. A transfer mechanism 1b is elevated/lowered with respect to the frame body. The transfer mechanism 1b includes a pressing part 10 having a pressurizing member 11 for driving a gear G engaged with the orbit rack R1 by a motor M and a pair of paper money guides 13 and 14 configured to be slidable to a vertical direction to the pressing part 10. This paper money storage device is provided with a pair of pressurizing members 16 and 16 arranged just under the paper money guides for pressurizing the both ends in the longitudinal direction of the storage paper money S1 and a clutch means for connecting/separating the orbit rack R1 and the pressurizing members cooperatively with the downword/upword movement of the pressing part 10.
