PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve the secure prevention of malfunctioning in a switch device for improving its reliability by repeating the operation of forcibly pressing the body of a push button for a long period of time. SOLUTION: In the switch device, a switch piece 41b moving in association with the body 41 of the push button shields the light between a light emitting part and a photosensing part of a photosensor 45 making up the switch. The switch piece 41b is provided with a brush 49 to make the brush 49 clean up between the light emitting part and the photosensing part of the photosensor 45 by the operation of forcibly pressing the body 41 of the push button.
