<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely reduce pressure to be applied to a toner sensor by simple constitution. <P>SOLUTION: A developing device is provided with: a circular carrying member (R1+R2) comprising a first agitation member (R1) stored in a first agitation room (6) and allowed to agitate and carry toner in the first agitation room (6) to a prescribed first carrying direction and a second agitation member (R2) stored in a second agitation room (7) and allowed to agitate and carry toner in the second agitation room (7) to a second carrying direction which is the reverse direction of the first carrying direction; a toner sensor (SN1) arranged in the second agitation room (7) and allowed to detect toner in the second agitation room (7); and a toner inflow prevention member (9a) for preventing toner other than toner carried in the second carrying direction by the second agitation member (R2) from flowing into the vicinity of the toner sensor (SN1). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
