<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical module and an optical wiring board on which optical fibers can be mounted with a high density be and which are also advantageous in workability and cost effectiveness. <P>SOLUTION: The optical module is composed of a case-like module body and an optical connector adaptor that terminates a connecting optical fiber in a manner connectable to a connector, wherein the module body is provided with a connector part 5 to which the optical connector adaptor is attached and an optical fiber housing part 6 in which at least a part of the connecting optical fiber is stored.
