PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a processing method for a plastic material, which enables the faithful formation of a fine pattern with a high aspect ratio and which can make the thickness of a molded article extremely uniform, the molded article formed by the processing method, and processing equipment. SOLUTION: This processing method for the plastic material comprises: a heating step of heating the plastic material 6 up to a temperature as high as/higher than a softening temperature; a form close-contact step of bringing a form member 2 with a formed opening 4 into close contact with a surface of the plastic material 6 softened through the heating step; a thermal deformation step of thermally deforming an opened surface 6a of the plastic material 6 by opening the softened plastic material 6 to a space via the opening 4 of the form member 2; and a cooling step of cooling the plastic material 6, whose opened surface is deformed through the thermal deformation step, up to a curing temperature.
