PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for processing information, program, and storage medium, capable of directly embedding a prescribed additional information such as electronic watermark in coded data, without decoding data which is compressed and encoded such as JPEG. SOLUTION: Coded data of coded information are inputted from a coded data input device 101. An embedding coefficient is selected for the data by an embedding coefficient selecting device 102 for each prescribed block unit, and a code converter 103 replaces it with different coded data corresponding to the coded data inputted by a conversion tape 104 for embedding of electronic watermark.
