PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling water tank capable of precisely detecting the level of water in the tank, without being affected even when the cooling water tank of a water cooling type cooling device is oscillated from the outside. SOLUTION: There are provided: a tank body 10 for storing the cooling water while leaving a necessary space at the upper part; a level sensor 15 for detecting the level of the cooling water in the tank body 10; and a compensation tube 16 having a small hole communicating with the inside and the outside of the tube at the upper end and the lower end. The compensation tube 16 is fixed to the level detection position in the tank body 10. The cooling water in the tank body and air in the space are introduced into the tube via the small hole. The level sensor 15 is housed in the compensation tube 16, and the level of the cooling water is detected in the compensation tube 16. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
