The present invention provides a fold type portable telephone device comprising a memory part for memorizing an incoming call history, an incoming call history read-out part, a display part, an open/close detector of a casing, and an automatic calling part for automatically dialing when the open/close detector detects that the casing is open. When the open/close detector detects that the casing is open at a state that the incoming call history is read out from the memory part and displayed on the display part, the foldable portable telephone device is set to automatically call a calling party displayed on the display part. Furthermore, a corresponding party for automatic dialing when the casing is open can be limited to members recorded as the telephone directory data in advance or limited to only some of members in the telephone directory data.
