<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To assure an enough open space for confirming an internal state of an image forming part and for easy operations such as jam processing and exchange of consumable components by effectively utilizing space. <P>SOLUTION: In a composite system equipped with a printer 2 which is the image forming part for outputting information as a printing image on a sheet and a scanner 3 which is an image reading part for optically reading an original, the scanner 3 and a part of the outer wall of the printer 2 are configured to be openable and closable. A couple of a lower link 4 and an upper link 5 as link members are provided between the scanner 3 and the printer 2. A CRG door 6 which is an outer wall member of the printer 2 is made to open via the lower link 4 and the upper link 5 in conjunction with an opening and closing operation of the scanner 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
