Then, in the driver operation, the CPU determines whether or not an application requesting printing carries out application ICM. Further, the CPU causes a printer to execute printer ICM only in the case where the application ICM is set OFF, and the printer ICM is set to ON in consideration of the result of the determining and user setting of ON/OFF of the printer ICM accepted in advance.
