<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a content distribution system, a content distribution method, an equipment authentication server and a method for controlling the equipment authentication server for limiting the use of contents stored in a home server to the range of the private use of a user. <P>SOLUTION: In this content distribution system, a reception terminal 2 transmits access permission application to an equipment authentication server 3, and the equipment authentication server 3 compares stored owner information corresponding to the reception terminal 2 and the home server 1 shown by the access permission application, and when at least predetermined items of the owner information are matched, the equipment authentication server 3 transmits a key to the reception terminal 2 and the home server 1, and the reception terminal 2 transmits a content request including the key received by the equipment authentication server 3 to the home server 1, and the home server 1 compares the key received by the equipment authentication server 3 with the key included in the content request, and when they are matched, the home server 1 transmits the contents to the reception terminal 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
