PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning device capable of avoiding the deterioration of image forming quality caused by soiling in an image forming apparatus body in advance by realizing a seal by which toner leakage is prevented whatever posture is taken. SOLUTION: The cleaning device 18 is equipped with a cleaning blade 31 scraping off residual toner T on the surface of a photoreceptor drum 12 and a toner recovery container 40 storing the toner scraped off by the cleaning blade, and has a gap S formed between the side wall of the toner recovery container and the cleaning blade. An elastic seal member 35 whose thickness is larger than the gap is stuck and fixed in the vicinity where the side wall of the toner recovery container does not lie on a flexible sheet member 36 stuck to the side wall thereof.
