PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a rate at which a raw material for a single crystal dissolves in a single crystal growth solution constant. SOLUTION: The method comprises a step (step S6) of preparing a binder-mixed raw material by mixing a slurried raw material with a binder, a step (step S7) of bringing a slurried binder-mixed raw material prepared in step S6 into a dehydrated state, a step (step S8) of drying the slurried binder-mixed raw material, a step (step S9) of uniformizing particle sizes of the binder-mixed raw material dried in step S8 to uniformize the densities of the binder-mixed raw material in the respective positions, a step (step S10) of molding the binder-mixed raw material after step S9 into a predetermined shape and size, and a step (step S11) of firing the binder-mixed raw material molded in step S10 to form a fired body 52.
