PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressure release device for a low-pressure steam piping system in a power generation plant, capable of preventing a moisture separator and a cross-around pipe of the low-pressure steam piping system from receiving overpressure when a valve for supplying steam to a low-pressure steam turbine is rapidly throttled and capable of reducing construction cost. SOLUTION: In the nuclear power plant, exhaust gas from a high-pressure turbine 6 is introduced to the low-pressure turbine 10 via the moisture separator 8 and the cross-around pipe 7 having a combined intermediate valve 9, exhaust gas from the low-pressure turbine 10 is introduced to a condenser 11, and the moisture separator outlet side of the cross-around pipe 7 is connected with the condenser 11 by a safety exhaust pipe 17. A rupture disk device comprising a rupture disk main body ruptured when steam pressure of the cross-around pipe 7 exceeds a predetermined value and a filter capturing fragments when the rupture disk main body is ruptured is placed in the safety exhaust pipe 17.
