PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel floor slab reinforcing method for preventing cracking in a deck plate of a steel floor slab, and to provide the reinforced steel floor slab. SOLUTION: The steel floor slab reinforcing method is provided for reinforcing the steel floor slab having U-shaped ribs 2 on a lower surface of the steel deck plate 1. In order to prevent local deformation of the deck plate 1, reinforcing ribs 3 are arranged between the mutually adjacent U-shaped ribs 2, in a direction perpendicular to the U-shaped ribs. The reinforcing ribs 3 may be directly connected to the lower surface of the deck plate 1 and to side surfaces of the U-shaped ribs 2, by welding or the like. Alternatively a reinforcing member which is integrally formed of the reinforcing ribs 3 and fixing plates 4, may be produced beforehand, and the reinforcing member may be connected to the lower surface of the deck plate 1 of a steel floor slab main body or to the side surfaces of the U-shaped ribs 2 by bolts or the like in the construction field.
