The bit-holder device (11) comprises inner sleeves (32, 33, 34) for mounting and firmly holding screw-driver bits (12, 13, 14) with the bit heads (42, 43) protruding from the sleeves or a be arranged as a group (31) parallel to one another. The cross axis of the device may be walled and the inner sleeves be located in a housing (15) which is covered. The inner sleeves may have a corresponding multi-edged outer perimeter and a polygonal outer surface. The inner sleeves may hold a single or double bit heads. The inner sleeves may be made from metal, whilst the housing may be made from plastic. The housing may have a single-end recess (18) that corresponds to the surface of the group of inner sleeves.
