<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering locking mechanism for a vehicle which is constructed by arranging a locking mechanism, which can switch a locked state and an unlocked state of a steering wheel, and a key cylinder lock, which acts a switching operation force on the locking mechanism, separated from each other, and which has a simple constitution reducing the number of parts of an operation force transfer structure between the key cylinder lock and the locking mechanism. <P>SOLUTION: One end of a linking member 121 is connected to a rotor 117 of the key cylinder lock 102 so that the linking member 101 can oscillate in response to the rotation of the rotor 117.
