<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device of a transmission for a vehicle capable of automatically coping with abnormality of a control hydraulic sensor detecting control hydraulic pressure for driving, of a control device for automatic gear shift, in the control device of the transmission for the vehicle mounted on a power transmitting passage from a motor to a driving wheel. <P>SOLUTION: In a hydraulic control circuit for automatic gear shift including a select cylinder 76 and a shift cylinder 78, an operating state of a hydraulic pump 94 is changed by a hydraulic pump operation state changing means 226 (SE2-SE6), when an initial pressure sensor 92 detecting hydraulic pressure P<SB>A</SB>in a pressure accumulator 90 as initial pressure of control hydraulic pressure P<SB>B</SB>for driving, is abnormal.
