PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To receive electronic mail without performing complicated operation, to record and output received electronic mail in an easy-to-read state, and to select whether or not to automatically print the received electronic mail by taking a privacy issue and the using environment of a user into consideration. SOLUTION: Communication terminal equipment is periodically connected to an electronic mail server on the Internet N and the electronic mail is received and recorded and outputted to recording paper by a recording part 106. The size of a character at the time of recording and outputting can be set by the user by an operation part 107 and the received electronic mail is recorded and outputted by the size of the character corresponding to setting. Also, an automatic printing mode for automatically recording and outputting the received electronic mail can be set/canceled by the operation part 107, and whether or not to automatically record and output the received electronic mail is controlled in accordance with the mode setting.
