<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cap for a writing implement which is capable of preventing the ink gathered therein due to a temperature rise, a strong impact or others from flowing outside it, by an integrated simple structure excellent in productivity. <P>SOLUTION: The cap for the writing implement is fitted removably to the front end side of a holder tube of the writing implement A and covers a writing part a2 for discharging the ink. In the cap 1, a seal part 12 to be brought into circular close contact with the holder tube a1 is provided, while an ink retaining part 11 which retains, by a capillary force, the ink in the case when it flows out from the writing part a2 is provided on the side in front of the place of the close contact of the seal part 12 with the holder tube a1.
