<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antireflection film having satisfactory antireflection performance in addition to scratch resistance, and to provide a polarizing plate and an image display device using the antireflection film. <P>SOLUTION: In the antireflection film made by laminating a transparent substrate, a hard coat layer and a low refractive index layer in the order, the rate of change of reflectance in an eraser scrubbing test calculated by the following equation (I) is 30% or less, or the change of color of regular reflection light at incident angle 40° of CIE standard light source D<SB>65</SB>, that is, the color difference ΔEab<SP>*</SP>in CIE1976L<SP>*</SP>a<SP>*</SP>b<SP>*</SP>color space before scrubbing the surface of the side where the low refractive index layer is laminated by using a nonwoven fabric and after scrubbing the same by 200 reciprocations while applying a load of 19.6 N/cm<SP>2</SP>is 1 or less; reflectance change (%)=(reflectance B-reflectance A)×100/reflectance A (I). Therein, the reflectance A denotes the reflectance before the surface of the side where the low refractive index layer is laminated is scrubbed by using an eraser and the reflectance B denotes the reflectance after scrubbing the same by 50 reciprocations while applying a load of 9.8N/cm<SP>2</SP>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
