PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of communication frequencies between a server and a client.

SOLUTION: The server 31 is required to acquire the chip information such as the unique information of an IC chip 35 before sending command for controlling the IC chip 35. In the server/client system shown in Fig., the chip information acquired by the client 34 is not sent to the server only at the server's request, but the chip information is acquired by the client 34 without depending on the request from the server 31 before an access to the server 31 (a request to start communication) and the chip information is sent to the server 31 right after the access. The present invention can be applied to the communication system for carrying out communication between the server and the client.
