PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a vehicle loading property of an electric power steering device by preventing interference to a peripheral part arranged in an engine room by arranging an electric motor so as to be compact not only in the vehicle vertical direction but also in the vehicle longitudinal direction in loading the electric power steering device on the vehicle. SOLUTION: This electric power steering device is constituted of a pinion shaft to be interlocked with a steering shaft, a rack shaft to change a steering angle by transferring rotational motion of the pinion shaft to rectilinear motion in the longitudinal direction by a steering gear part, the electric motor to rotate and drive a motor shaft in accordance with steering torque generated on the steering shaft and a deceleration mechanism to transmit rotation of the motor shaft to the pinion shaft by decelerating it, and the electric motor is arranged so that a crossed axes angle of an axis of the motor shaft and an axis of the pinion shaft becomes equal to a crossed axes angle of the axis of the pinion shaft and an axis of the rack shaft in the front view seeing a steering gear part from ahead and at least a part of a motor main body is accumulated on the rack shaft in the top view seeing the steering gear part from above.
