<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suction nozzle for a cleaner, capable of preventing a brush in the use posture from rotating forward without making it difficult to rotate the brush moved to an advancing position. <P>SOLUTION: The brush 51 is moved forward/backward along a guide groove 37 of a suction nozzle body 31 with an intake opening 32. The brush 51 is rotated around a shaft engaged with the groove 37 in the advancing position, and bristles 54 are made to project from the intake opening 32. The brush 51 is retained in this use posture by the engagement of a locking projection 56 of a brush base 52 getting over a retaining projection 39 of the suction nozzle body 31 with the retaining projection 39 and by the engagement of the brush base 52 with a receiving part 33 of the suction nozzle body 31. A striking part 58 disposed on the brush base 52 is engaged with a stopper projection 40 disposed on the outer surface of the suction nozzle body 31 to prevent movement of the brush 51 in the direction of loading along the intake opening 52 while the brush 51 is retained in the above posture by the engagement mentioned above. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
