<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission capable of preventing or suppressing an increase in size and weight of a transmission case by preventing or suppressing degradation of the rigidity of the transmission case by a working opening while ensuring an easy lubrication work to a chain from the working opening formed in the transmission case to perform a connection or disconnection work between an operation cable and a connection part of a derailleur. <P>SOLUTION: The transmission comprises a sprocket group 40 consisting of gear change sprockets 41-47, a derailleur, and a transmission case 20 to store the sprocket group 40, the derailleur and the chain. A working opening 26 for the connection and disconnection work between an inner cable 62b of an operation cable 62 and a connection part 85 of a parallel link mechanism 73 of the derailleur is formed in the transmission case 20. The opening 26 is formed in a case wall 21c closest in the axial direction to the gear change sprocket 41 of the maximum outside diameter among the sprocket group 40, and the gear change sprocket 41 is located closest to the opening 26 in the radial direction among the sprocket group 40. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
