<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for manufacturing harmless compost containing no chemical substance without using a metal made apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: Natural wooden chips 18 and the same quantity of leftovers of additive-free food 25, 35 or 43 as that of the natural wooden chips are charged into an open-air hole 53 as shown in figure (b). In figure (c), the material inside the open-air hole 53 are mixed by the shovel of a power shovel 52 to obtain a mixture 55. The mixture 55 is moved to an open-air flatland 54. In figure (d), the mixture 55 moved to the open-air flatland 54 is cut back by the power shovel 52 preferably once everyday to prevent the putrefaction of the mixture and to disperse soil fungi, so that the fermentation and the aging is promoted. This method uses the natural woody material and the additive-free food as a raw material containing no chemical substances, thereby enabling harmless compost to be obtained. The equipment is mainly composed of the open-air hole and the open-air flatland, therefore, dispenses with a metal made fermenter, so that the equipment cost is reduced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
