PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for receiving mails to users in an own network, a mail-receiving device and a mail server, by which the reception of spam mails can be prevented, even though both receivers and senders need not perform complicated operations. SOLUTION: When a mail is received, a mail address database which stores lists of authorized mail addresses for each of users 5a, 5b, etc. is searched, and the presence of the mail address of the sender of the received mail in the list of the authorized mail addresses with respect to the user 5a, who uses the destination mail address of the received mail, is decided. If the mail address of the sender of the received mail is not contained in the list of the authorized mail addresses, the sender 9a of the received mail is prompted to input keys relative to the user 5a, who uses the destination mail address. If the keys are input correctly, the mail address of the sender of the received mail is added to the list of the authorized mail addresses of the user 5a of the keys. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
